01The challenge
When I started, Skinthirst had potential but its social presence was inconsistent and heavily product-focused. There was no in-house designer, no paid budget, and limited educational content — making it harder to build awareness and trust in a competitive D2C skincare market.
My role Owned the content production pipeline, built the visual system, and worked on organic growth through SEO-led content.
02The audit
The February 2023 audit set the baseline for the content strategy and infographic system — identifying content, cadence, discoverability and conversion gaps that a repeatable system could fix.
Where the benchmark exposed the gap.
Observed strength
5–6 posts/week; five content pillars; consistent ingredient education.
Implication for Skinthirst
Needed stronger cadence and a more educational content mix.
Observed strength
Reels averaged 2× the engagement of static posts; the ingredient explainer format was prominent.
Implication for Skinthirst
Format experimentation and educational storytelling were opportunities.
Observed strength
A benchmark for science-backed, clean communication.
Implication for Skinthirst
Could strengthen its science + Ayurveda positioning.
03The strategy
Five recommendations implemented from the audit.
Shifted content from product shots to ingredient education. Built infographic templates for each SKU, leading with the key ingredient and its skin benefit.
A unified visual system across all three product infographics — the same earthy palette, natural ingredient styling and premium packaging photography.
Established barrier-first as the content positioning, reinforcing skin-barrier protection as the core philosophy across captions and visuals.
Brought keyword research into caption writing — ingredient search terms and skin-concern phrases — with broad, niche and branded hashtag tiers.
A structured content calendar with Hootsuite scheduling, batch production and AI-assisted drafting to support a consistent 4×/week cadence.
04The creative system
Earthy tones, natural ingredient styling, premium D2C packaging photography and ingredient-first education — one template logic, three products.
Green Tea + Salicylic Acid
Niacinamide + Hyaluronic Acid + Saffron
Ceramides + Peptides + Botanical Oils
05The visual language
The brand board behind every asset: skincare rooted in Ayurveda, backed by science, made for modern Indian skin.

07AI-assisted workflow
ChatGPT and Midjourney sat inside a batch-production and scheduling workflow — speeding up ideation, drafting and visual direction, not replacing the audit, strategy or brand system.

This wasn’t a batch of social posts. It was a content system — diagnosed, designed, written for search, produced faster with AI, and measured.
